Dr. Humaid Al Adawi

Dr Humaid attended medical school at Sultan Qaboos University and completed his General Surgery Residency and Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of British Colombia in Canada. He carries dual board certifications in general surgery and colorectal surgery at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr Humaid’s expertise in colorectal surgery and his clinical focus include colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and benign anorectal disorders such as hemorrhoids, perianal fistulas, anal fissure, pilonidal sinus, rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence. He specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic colorectal surgeries and introduced transanal endoscopic microsurgery in Oman. Further, he performs several general surgery procedures such as laparoscopic and open hernia surgery as well as laparoscopic cholecystectomy. His research focuses on complex and multidisciplinary cancer and inflammatory bowel disease approach and management.
