Dr. Feroz Amir Zafar

Dr Feroz is a Senior Consultant in Urology & Kidney Transplant Surgeon at NMC Specialty Hospital, with over 18 years of experience. He is also associated with the Royal Hospital (Ministry of Health), Muscat. He is a trained kidney transplant surgeon with an extensive experience in both open and robotic kidney transplants. After completing his graduation (MBBS) from MGMMC Jamshedpur, he completed his Masters in General Surgery from RIMS, Ranchi. Further, he specialized in Urology completing his DNB from Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. Dr Feroz also holds MRCS from The Royal College of Surgeons, England and Fellowship in Kidney Transplant from Medanta-The Medicity, India. He is also a trained Robotic Surgeon (da Vinci System) from Intuitive Surgical, Atlanta, USA. Dr Feroz is experienced with more than 950 open kidney transplants and 320 Robotic Assisted Kidney Transplants over the last 8 years. He has also been a mentor to a few national (Fortis Mohali & Sir Ganga Ram Hospital) and international (KOC University Hospital, Istanbul & Akdinez University Hospital, Antalya, Turkey) teams and helped them to successfully start their Robotic Kidney transplant programs. He is an active member of various National & International Medical Associations and is also involved in Clinical Research in the field of Urology and Kidney transplants. He is proficient in English, Hindi & Urdu.
