Doctor and clinic subscription agreement
This agreement is between Afya and a doctor or clinic that subscribes to our tools. It sets out the plans, how billing works, and the commitments we make to keep the directory neutral.
Draft, pending legal review
This document is an in-house draft, prepared for review by legal counsel in Oman. It is not legal advice, is not yet in force, and may change.
The plans
- Free: an accurate, claimed, verified profile with your real contact details, forever, at no cost.
- Pro: management tools on top of the free profile, such as analytics, review invitations, and the tools to reply to reviews.
- Telemed: online consultations, with scheduling, the video room, and consultation payments through your own payment account.
Verification and neutrality
Claiming your profile, document verification, and the verified mark are free at every tier, forever. Paying never moves you up in search, never changes a review, and never buys the verified mark. A paid plan buys tools, never position.
These commitments are set out in our Trust Charter.
Billing, changes, and cancellation
- A paid plan is a flat subscription, billed by invoice and a payment link. Your price does not change during a period you have already paid for.
- Any price change applies only at renewal, with at least 30 days of notice and your right to cancel before it takes effect. Founding prices stay locked while the plan is active.
- If a paid plan lapses, the account drops to Free with no patient-facing change: you are never delisted, your profile is never deleted, and your reviews are never touched.
Refunds are set out in our refund and cancellation policy.
Patient confidentiality
Under Oman's medical practice law you may not disclose a patient's information without their written consent, except in the narrow cases the law names. You agree to use the platform's sharing controls only on those lawful bases. Afya never instructs you to disclose patient information. When you reply to a review, you must not confirm the reviewer was a patient or mention any clinical fact.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your profile and your fees accurate, and do not impersonate another person.
- Hold a valid licence, and keep your credentials current for the twelve-month re-verification.
- For an online consultation, you confirm it is suitable, document the visit, and report a critical incident to the health regulator as your own duty requires.
